Our Mission

Our mission is to help Hyattsville residents stay in their homes and remain active in the community as they age.

Have you seen the new Hyattsville Transportation Guide for Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities? HAP worked with the city to create this guide about transportation resources and how to access them, including Metro’s Senior SmartTrip cards, various call-a-bus services, and much more! Download a copy in English or Spanish.

Images of HAP at work during 2022The HAP 2023 Annual Report outlines what we accomplished in 2023, as well as our ongoing work to support Hyattsville’s older adults.

HAP is part of Prince George’s County Village Connection, which is working to seed new Villages across the county. Visit PGCVC.org to find out more!
