Join Michael Cayo Cotter, founder and director of the University Park-based Blue Sky Puppet Theatre, for a historical look at how and why he started Blue Sky Puppet Theatre in 1974 and its transition from an adult experimental company and political satire street theatre to a full-time, fine art educational touring company for young audiences by 1980. The discussion will also include a review and demonstration of the five popular forms — puppetry, hand, rod, marionette, shadow and table top — and how Zoom has transformed puppetry performances.
