Our Eye on the Heavens

On March 24, 2024, Nobel laureate Dr. John C. Mather joined Corridor Conversations to discuss the discoveries being made with the James Webb Space Telescope. Mather is a senior astrophysicist in the Observational Cosmology Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt and the senior project scientist on the James Webb Space Telescope. Since parking in its orbit 930,000 miles above the Earth in early 2022, the telescope has provided a closer look at the universe than has ever been possible.

Corridor Conversations are organized by Hyattsville Aging in Place, Helping Hands University Park, Neighbors Helping Neighbors College Park, and Explorations on Aging.
