Are you interested in taking part in a unique theatrical production session and having a conversation with the artists? This is your chance to take part in a unique theatrical production written and read by your neighbors and help the artists move to their next stage, plus learn how you can get involved. These artists collaborated with Yard Dramas, a theatre arts education and creative learning company based in Hyattsville, in 2023. Jennifer Ridgway, founder/owner of Yard Dramas, worked with HAP members and Hyattsville elders to build connections, nurture imaginations, and integrate their lived experiences into a one-of-a-kind theatrical production. The goal was to showcase Hyattsville’s senior community and bring them to the forefront of public consciousness, including the Mayor and City Council.
