On May 30, 2026, Jennifer Crawley, deputy secretary of the Maryland Department of Aging, joined Corridor Conversations to discuss what Maryland is doing to ensure equal access to coordinated care, services, and social determinants that enable healthy longevity, we can become a state where all Marylanders lead healthy, financially secure, socially connected, and purposeful lives.
Older adults offer tremendous value to the Maryland landscape. They fuel local economies, provide support for families, and contribute to the community in many ways. But how long and how well Marylanders live depends largely on their ZIP code. Recognizing the need to prepare for a more equitable future for the 100-year life expectancy, Governor Moore signed an executive order mandating the development of Longevity Ready Maryland (LRM), a ten-year multisector plan for aging to address the challenges and maximize the benefits and opportunities of an aging society.
Corridor Conversations are organized by Hyattsville Aging in Place, Neighbors Helping Neighbors College Park, Explorations on Aging, Helping Hands University Park, and Gateway Aging Together.
